Description of Service
PDFGem provides free, browser-based tools for working with PDF files, including merging, splitting, compressing, converting, and editing. All processing takes place locally in your browser; we do not host or store your files on a server.
Use of the Service
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for the files you process, including ensuring you have the right to use, modify, and distribute their contents. You may not use the Service to process content that is illegal, infringing, or that violates the rights of others.
No Account Required
The Service does not require registration. Any features that request contact information, such as the contact form, are entirely optional.
"As Is" Basis
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that file conversions will always be accurate or complete.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFGem and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

The Service uses open-source, third-party JavaScript libraries to perform certain file conversions. These are provided by their respective authors and are subject to their own licenses. We are not responsible for defects in these third-party libraries.
Intellectual Property
The PDFGem name, logo, and website design are the property of their respective owners. You retain full ownership of any files you process using the Service.
Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms periodically; continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction in which the Service operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
